Be ready to apply in January 2027!
After 10 years in Paris, we reinvent our type design programme. We go from 6 weeks to 3 weeks, while maintaining the fundamentals that make TypeParis’ reputation. The course (in English) will take place in Menorca, Spain for the first time. In 2027, we offer two levels which allows you to discover type design, or to gain expertise after an initial training.
You will be in total immersion at the Convent of Sant Diego in Alaior, Menorca. It was built in 1629, since transformed into a cultural center with all the contemporary facilities such as wifi, projection, air conditioning, etc.

The new TypeParis Spring programme
Since 2015, we have welcomed a group of attendes who, from early June to mid-July, will discover type design in Paris, and produce their font project.
In 2027, we aimed to propose a shorter course and more financially accessible to all.
The new spring type design programme is in English and continue to covers typeface design and calligraphy techniques, type history, and software practices. The difference is that we will welcome both absolute beginners who can enroll at the Foundation level and typeface design enthusiasts who can register at the Expert level.
Foundation level: Dedicated to graphic designers who’ve never touched type design. You will learn in three weeks to create your contemporary digital typeface based on historical and calligraphic references. Submit your portfolio to be selected.
Expert Level: We propose to type designer a programme designed to enrich their know-how, strengthen their rigour and develop their professionalism in developing and produce complexe typeface families. Perfect after following a first type design course, and/or various lettering and font workshops. To be selected, submit your typeface project being created in addition to your portfolio.
