Our free talks open to the public will include two speakers: graphic designer as well the weekly #typeparis19 international guest critic. The venue is limited to 130 people, after this limit, you will be added to the waiting list, and your entry will not be fully guaranteed. Our Talks will be given in English, no livestream, but available videos at a later date. Being present on the spot is the best way to miss nothing. Meanwhile, as the #tptalks19 are organized in Paris, France, most of attendees will be Parisians. Le Français sera largement employé par les participants lors de l’inscription et des échanges nombreux durant la soirée.

Neil Summerour

Neil Summerour

A type designer and lettering artist, he’s the founder of the Positype font foundry and Swash & Kern lettering studio. Summerour lectures, leads workshops, draws letters, makes typefaces, and lives happily ever after over and over again. Neil has won the Type Directors Club Certificate of Typographic Excellence six times and was the 2012 recipient of the People’s Choice Award in the Morisawa Type Design competition for his Japanese typeface, Tegaki. Neil currently serves as Chair for the Society of Typographic Aficionados (SOTA).

Mathieu Réguer is an independent typeface designer based in Paris. Mathieu is graduated in communication visuelle at École Duperré, as well in création typographique at École Estienne. In 2008, he received his MA in Typeface Design from the University of Reading (UK). Since then, he designing typefaces for brands and cultural institutions as well as developing and engineering types. Mathieu Réguer is one of the founders of the typeface design programme TypeParis launched in 2015.
