This programme is open to anyone interested to learn type design from scratch [check the Summer26 page for details]. To apply before the deadline at midnight (UTC-11) on 13 March 2026, just prepare a A4 sized PDF (we prefer landscape!) named “yourname-familyname-typeparis26” that is no larger than 10 MB. If you’re not sure about your portfolio, please send it by advance, we will be happy to share some advice. Check the FAQ for additional details. Your PDF needs to include the following two sections:
No more than twelve graphic/typographic design projects (the limit is 12 pages). These should demonstrate your proficiency in graphic design, typography, lettering and some knowledge of Béziers curves! If a project involves other people please state your role. Read the interviews of our alumni and follow their advice to build a solid portfolio!
As additional page (to the 12 pages above for your portfolio) about your background, including any specific courses or workshops you’ve undertaken; which software applications you are proficient with (at least Adobe Illustrator); and any traditional techniques or skills such as calligraphy and lettering if you have some knowledge of them.
Finally, the online form ask you to write 250 words (maximum) describing your interest (and experience is a plus) in typeface design and lettering. This will help the jury to learn more about you and your motivation.
Upload your portfolio, pay the €90 fee to confirm your registration. The application deadline is midnight (UTC-11) on 13 March 2026. This means you can apply until 14 march 2026 from: ▷ Singapore 18:59. ▷ Paris 11:59. ▷ New York 06:59. You’re a bit late? Contact us by email. Applicants will be informed of their acceptance status by 20 March 2026.
Any incomplete applications will be rejected. Following your payment, you should be redirected to a confirmation page. If you have any trouble with the form or payment process, please contact us.
You will only be accepted onto the programme after full payment of the €5480 tuition fees (due no later than 10 April 2026). Payment instructions will be provided with the acceptance notification. Check the FAQ as well the terms and conditions for additional details.
Note: Prices are in Euro and free of taxes. French and EU customer will have to pay the additional 20% French VAT.
