How did it start?
TypeParis, launched in 2015, is offering a summer programme in type design and workshops in Paris. It also hosts the Now conference to bring together graphic designers, art directors, typographers, and type designers.

Learning type design
The Summer programme is an intensive programme in English that takes place near the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Our unique approach continues the long tradition of type design study that started in France back in the 1970s. During the year, we organise workshops in Paris and sometimes elsewhere, which cover type design, sign painting, lettering, calligraphy, use of software, etc.

Conferences
Conferences have been an integral part since the launch of TypeParis in 2015, as evidenced by our video channel. As the various communities need to listen to each other, to learn from one another, it’s why we organise conferences that will bring together graphic designers, art directors, typographers, and type designers.
