The starting point of my journey is my village, from which I moved to Paris to study type design. The first part was to study calligraphy.
The second part was focused on creating typefaces. It was based on a source - an old school atlas of maps. In this part I struggled with two main things.
Creating a basic module for the typography I work with throughout the font. My source is rich in different letterforms because it is a handwritten typeface. It was a difficult and at the same time very important decision for my typography. In the end, this foundation became type n and went through a process of evolution from trace paper to digitization. The second important thing was the space creation workshop, where I worked by changing the angle in the font and changing to low contrast. This exercise which started with trace paper was the basis for my variable font.
