Noria
Noria is a custom typeface created to be used as a graphic identity for el Lago Xochimilco in Mexico City. Noria’s shapes are inspired by carved and hancrafted letters and Mexican traditional signpainting.
Noria has 4 different weights, and many alternates, to be used for the specific needs of the place of Origin. The Family Rangel from a text typeface, designed for editorial use, to a Display version with very low contrast and minimal counters. This provides strength and character to the identity.
