Optika

Optika is a typeface designed for the optimization of readability according to different body sizes of use. It therefore includes a display and a micro, each of which has its own characteristics. The display, ideal for the title, has a very strong contrast and fine serifs. The micro when it has been optimized for printing in the body 6. These serifs are asymmetrical, counterforms are very open, the letters are different between them to increase legibility. They are both based on a calligraphic model and more tangible theories such as Dwiggins’ Formula M or the work of Ladislas Mandel. Which makes it a very human and scientific typeface family. The idea was also to create a character able to adapt to its support and the size at which it will be used
