From graphic to typographic
The close-knit duo, Violaine & Jérémy opened their studio in 2012 mainly working in illustration and editorial design. A close relationship with handmade work and printed matter forms the basis of their aesthetic approach, which they have been developing ever since.
In 2015, their first collaboration with Parisian theater, Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord, was an opportunity to break new creative ground. Their search for sophisticated design led them to develop their first glyphset. This is how VJ TYPE's typographic journey began.
