Throughout my career, I’ve come to believe one thing – do work that is meaningful to you. Chances are it will be meaningful to others as well. That means it’s okay to follow your gut. That means you can trust your instincts. That means you are your first client, and the reason you got into this industry in the first place.
Filipe Carvalho is an Emmy award-winning creative director / director working in the entertainment, gaming and advertising industries. He is known for work that is cinematic – mixing disciplines like design, architecture and photography in search of something that is greater than the sum of it’s parts. In the course of his career, he has worked with people such as Taylor Sheridan, Pete Nicks, Stanley Donwood, Thom Yorke, Danny Yount, Karin Fong on projects such as Counterpart, Working, Lioness, The Panic Office Retrospective, Sia: A Retrospective, The Walking Dead, WWII From the Frontlines.
He currently lives in Lisbon, Portugal with wife Patricia and daughter Ema.
Filipe is a member of the American Television Academy.
