Co-founder of Zetafonts, one of Italy’s leading independent type foundries, Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini is a type designer, art director, and educator. With over twenty years of experience, his work explores the intersection of typography and creative expression, combining research, experimentation, and a distinctive approach to letterforms. Alongside his role as creative director at Zetafonts, he teaches creative processes, art direction, and type design, and regularly shares his expertise through talks and workshops at international design festivals and institutions. He lives in Florence with a cat named Bodoni and too many books, firmly believing in David Carson’s words: “Graphic Design will save the world, right after Rock and Roll has done its job.”
Apply before 14 January for the three-week type design course starting 5 April and ending 24 April 2027.
After 10 years in Paris, we reinvent our type design programme. We go from 6 weeks to 3 weeks, while maintaining the fundamentals that make TypeParis’ reputation.
The course will take place in Menorca, Spain for the first time. In 2027, we offer two levels, Foundation and Expert, which allows you to discover type design, or to gain expertise after an initial training.
