Astrid Stavro is a globally recognised creative director with more than two decades of design leadership. Her work is distinguished by a rigorous commitment to ideas that are both emotionally resonant and meticulously crafted. Based in London, she leads a multidisciplinary team and collaborates with brands and cultural institutions around the world.
Working at the intersection of strategy and design, Astrid creates visual identities, editorial systems, brand worlds, and communication platforms that translate complex ideas into clear, compelling experiences across print, digital, and spatial media.
Formerly a partner at Pentagram and co-founder of the studio Atlas, she has earned more than 175 international awards, including top honours from D&AD, the Art Directors Club, the Type Directors Club, and the Design Week Awards. A respected industry voice, she is regularly invited to judge major competitions and speak at global conferences and universities.
Astrid is a Visiting Lecturer at the Royal College of Art and currently serves as President of the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD). She sits on the advisory boards of the Politecnico di Milano and Creative Review, and has been a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) since 2010.
