Laurène Girbal is a French type and graphic designer. She studied graphic design and graduated from ESAD Type. After several years of working in the field of digital graphic design, she shifted her focus to type design and began working independently for well-known type foundries. Shortly afterward, she collaborated with Colophon Foundry for three years before joining Monotype in 2024.
Over the past few years, she has designed custom typefaces and logotypes for a range of clients, from independent businesses to global brands. Additionally, she has initiated a lively script project and released her own typeface, Avril, at Blaze Type in 2023.
