On my journey from making a name for myself, to opening my eponymous studio, I’ve learned that the creative process is no linear affair. In this talk, I want to look at creativity not through its trajectory, but through its stretch. From finding pleasure in the creative act to its pain points and friction, we seem to need it all to have it all. In a world where freedom can feel vertiginous and structures can bring suppleness, creativity flows in unexpected ways and grows in unexpected places.
Leslie David, a French designer, illustrator, and art director, founded her multidisciplinary creative studio in Paris in 2009. Specializing in visual thinking and design, her diverse portfolio includes projects in fashion, beauty, art, music, and culture. Notable clients like Chanel Beauty, Prada, Reformation, and Glossier have sought her expertise in branding, print, digital, product design, film, and animation. Beyond commercial ventures, Leslie’s personal practice explores unconventional territories, drawing inspiration from nature and intimate realms, characterized by vibrant colors and soft textures. Her dedication to pushing creative boundaries has solidified her as a prominent figure in the visual arts landscape.
