Elliott Amblard is a French graphic and type designer. Based in Paris and having graduated from EPSAA in 2012 (École Professionnelle Supérieure d’Arts Graphiques et d’Architecture de la ville de Paris, France), he carries a longtime passion for signs. Learning type design with Malou Verlomme at LongType foundry for two years while freelancing on the side, he then graduated from the KABK Type and Media master in 2014 (Royal Academy of Arts, The Hague). He has been working at BlackFoundry since October 2015.
Elliott Amblard est graphiste et dessinateur de caractères. Travaillant à la fonderie LongType en parallèle de son activité de freelance, il se forme pendant deux ans aux côtés de Malou Verlomme, avant d’intégrer en 2014 le master Type and Media à la KABK (Royal Academy of Arts, La Haye). Il rejoint BlackFoundry en octobre 2015.
The 3-week type design course starts on 5 April and ends 24 April 2027.
After 10 years in Paris, we reinvent our type design programme. We go from 6 weeks to 3 weeks, while maintaining the fundamentals that make TypeParis’ reputation.
The course will take place in Menorca, Spain for the first time. In 2027, we offer two levels, Foundation and Expert, which allows you to discover type design, or to gain expertise after an initial training.
