Six weeks have flown by, and now TypeParis Summer25 has reached its conclusion! This final stage of the programme centers on the last overall reviews to correct, polish, and complete all typeface families. It also involves designing the specimens and preparing the final presentations for these typeface projects. As is tradition, the programme wrapped up with a well-deserved farewell party.
The Final Push
This last phase of the programme kicked off with one last major meeting, where we were truly astonished by the significant progress of all the type projects! Every participant successfully gave their typeface a unique style and built a diverse typeface family, complete with various weights and display versions, all matching their initial brief. The remaining energy was dedicated to adding even more extra glyphs, improving spacing, and polishing the overall design. The main goal for attendees was to meet the requirements for the final delivery of each typeface family, including a specific glyph set and additional styles. We had some good surprises for the introductory meeting of the final week, such as quite complete italics this year, and even some in several weights.
It’s truly remarkable to remember that just six weeks ago, many in the group had never even opened font design software like Glyphs before! Everyone is incredibly impressed by what they managed to design in such a short time.

Checklist for Completion
- Font families have to be delivered, along with type settings following the official TypeParis template, for final judging.
- Typeface specimens need to be designed, which would then be printed and handed out during the ceremony.
- Following that, a screen presentation about each typeface will be designed, showing its evolution over the six weeks and describing its design features.
Explore all the Type Projects
You can discover the sixteen TypeParis Summer25 typeface families now published on our site. Explore the reasoning behind each project—their brief—find all the weights or styles within each typeface family, and also view the printed specimens designed by their creators. As has been our practice for years, right after the final presentation, the instructors meet with a guest type designer to discuss the quality and development of all projects and to award diplomas with distinction. This year, our special guest was Thomas Bouillet, type designer at Commercial Type.

Watch the Final Presentation
Do not miss the full replay of the final presentation, which took place in Paris on 11 July 2025. Watching and listening to TypeParis Summer25 attendees presenting their type projects is definitely the best way to experience the passing of the programme.
Congratulations to Everyone!
Sadly, this marks the official end of the TypeParis Summer25 edition. But we absolutely want to conclude this post by congratulating all the attendees for the truly great work they accomplished over these past six weeks. As instructors and organizers of the programme, we are incredibly proud of their effort, the progress of their work, and their dedicated and responsible attitude right through to the end of this edition. Their work truly stands on its own!

Thank you all for these magnificent six weeks, and we hope to see you for TypeParis Summer26! As always, the deadline for submitting your application and having a chance to be selected is 14 March 2026.
