Elliot Jay Stocks is a designer and author, known in typographic circles thanks to his time as the founder of typography magazine 8 Faces, the co-creator of Google Fonts Knowledge, and his continued work on the design team of Adobe Fonts. He is the author of Universal Principles of Typography (Quarto, 2024) and Fine Specimens (Quarto, 2026). Elliot has spoken at over 90 conferences around the world and served as a judge for the D&AD Awards. He lives and works in the countryside in Somerset, UK.
