Joachim Roncin is a renowned creative director whose career is marked by ambitious projects and a profound impact on the artistic and cultural landscape.
A graduate of the Penninghen school, Joachim has built his expertise through iconic collaborations.
He is behind prestigious projects such as the creation of Stylist magazine, the art direction of the César Awards, the Ballon d’Or, and the Victoires de la Musique, as well as the creative direction of the design for the Paris 2024Olympic and Paralympic Games. In this role, he oversaw the design of the medals, the Olympic mascots, and other iconic symbols.
Joachim is also widely known for his contribution to freedom of expression through the globally recognized slogan Je suis Charlie, created in January 2015 in response to the attacks on Charlie Hebdo. He reflects on the story behind this slogan and its repercussions in his 2024 book, Une histoire folle: Comment j’ai créé “Je suis Charlie” et Le voyage en absurdie qui a suivi (A Crazy Story: How I Created “Je suis Charlie” and the Absurd Journey That Followed).
He now shares his experience and vision by teaching at the Penninghen design school and as head of creation of Maison Fantôme, a design and creative agency.
