Type design

In this fun one-day crash course, conducted by Rainer Erich Scheichelbauer (who also speaks French) and Georg Seifert, go from zero to one hundred and learn making fonts from three different angles. Complete with the latest insider tricks and pro insights.

Who?

Limited to 20 attendees: No prior knowledge required. It’s a workshop open to graphic designers and aspiring type designers. It’s in English, mais les francophones sont bienvenus puisque Rainer parle français.

Prerequisites

Just bring your MacBook with the trial version of Glyphs 3 preinstalled. Participants receive a free extended trial license and can purchase the full version of the app with a discount.

Apply before 14 January for the three-week type design course starting 5 April and ending 24 April 2027.

After 10 years in Paris, we reinvent our type design programme. We go from 6 weeks to 3 weeks, while maintaining the fundamentals that make TypeParis’ reputation.

The course will take place in Menorca, Spain for the first time. In 2027, we offer two levels, Foundation and Expert, which allows you to discover type design, or to gain expertise after an initial training.
