Ilya Naumoff is the founder of Paris-based foundry, Interval Type, where he creates retail and custom typefaces and collaborates with agencies and designers around the world. As a type designer and art director, he’s worked on projects for clients such as Colgate, Renault, Landor, Yandex, ForPeople, Unilever, and others, with a focus on timeless forms, clarity, and simplicity in both Latin and Cyrillic scripts. His work has been recognised by CommArts, TDC, Modern Cyrillic, Granshan, and more.
Before launching Interval Type, Ilya worked as a freelancer across various design disciplines and spent several years at Black Foundry as a type designer and art director, contributing to custom projects and retail families like Vesterbro and the Grtsk superfamily. Today, he continues to develop typefaces and typographic systems used by brands and creatives worldwide.
